The Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador is delighted to work with the Fishers’ Loft Inn to bring fine, juried craft to Port Rexton visitors!
Craft is important in Newfoundland and Labrador. The objects and techniques are rooted in our heritage and our distance from much of the busy world. The colours reflect our environment and the themes depict our landscape and history. The Craft Council works with craft makers to ensure that craft objects made and sold in Newfoundland and Labrador today are authentic renditions of our traditions, or contemporary works that portray the innovation and character of individual makers.
For more than 30 years, the Craft Council has managed a jurying system to develop the high level of quality in design, technique and materials that you will find in all Craft Council market venues. The works shown at Fishers’ Loft are of the best that can be found in Newfoundland and Labrador. We are pleased that guests of the Inn will have the opportunity to acquire a finely handcrafted memento of their visit.
